Ruto’s Sh1.2 Billion Church Project at State House
President William Ruto is building a huge church within the State House grounds in Nairobi, a project estimated to cost Ksh 1.2 billion.
According to the Daily Nation, the 8,000-seater church is already in the planning stages, with architectural designs ready. However, it’s not yet clear whether public funds will be used for the construction.

Ruto, however, insists that he is paying for the project himself.
“There was only a tin-roof church when I got here. I have no apologies to make for building a proper church at State House. I am using my own money,” the President said.

The project has raised questions from the public, especially about its cost and whether State House is the right place for such a large religious facility. Still, Ruto has made it clear he sees no problem with it and is proud of the work being done.
