Shalkido Ga Cucu
Kenyan musician Shalkido Ga Cucu has sadly passed away following a tragic hit-and-run accident along Thika Road in early October 2025. The artist was involved in the crash while riding his motorcycle home after a night performance in Thika. He was rushed to KU Referral Hospital in critical condition, where he was admitted to the ICU with severe head injuries, internal bleeding, and a broken leg.

He later transitioned to Mugithi music, where he continued to inspire many through his talent and openness about personal struggles.
He was admired for his resilience, honesty, and passion for music. Over the years, he received support from fellow artists, including Eric Omondi, who gifted him a motorbike, and Oga Obinna, who helped him secure a brand ambassador deal and a furnished home.

Rest in Peace, Shalkido Ga Cucu. 💔
