Two children who were killed by their mother have been buried in Karirau village, Gitura, Kangema, Murang’a County. The boys, Leon Wanjohi and Lael Mwangi, died after the mother reportedly stabbed all three of her children, though one survived the brutal attack.
After the violence, she tried to harm herself but survived. She then went to a police station and asked officers to shoot her, but instead she was arrested and is now in custody. During the burial, emotions ran high as a teacher broke down in tears while paying tribute to Leon and Lael.
