MP Gathoni Wamuchomba at PCEA Kwa Mukua
MP Gathoni Wamuchomba has publicly responded to a sermon by her Secretary General, Rev. Robert Waihenya, expressing forgiveness for those who have wronged her recently and emphasizing the importance of discipline in the country.
Addressing Rev. Waihenya directly, Wamuchomba said, “In your sermon, you asked me to forgive all those who have abused me this week, and I have forgiven them. If I have abused you because I have the gift of the gab, please forgive me as well. I will leave him without the weight of unforgiveness.”
She was speaking at PCEA Kwa Mukua in Githunguri Municipality a few hours after she made a damaging post seemingly laughing and celebrating the death of Sammy Wang’ang’a, an employee of the Wamatangi Foundation – a community organ associated with Governor Kimani Wamatangi.
Those present at the Presbyterian Church termed MP Wamuchomba’s utterances as an indirect apology to the Governor and Sammy’s family for the careless facebook post she had uploaded.
However, the apology may have been for public show noting that the facebook post remained on her facebook page unedited or deleted.

In addition, MP Wamuchomba reflected on her busy day, saying, “Today, I must be disciplined because the Reverend who taught me Sunday school as a young girl is here. I was invited to five events today, and this is only my second. I am now rushing to Wilson Airport for another function.”
MP Wamuchomba also addressed recent violence in the Constituency, highlighting a tragic incident where a 28-year-old motorcyclist was killed by a blow to the head with a heavy metal object.
She stated, “Indiscipline is what is costing us in this nation. I have met with security officials, and the suspect behind this heinous act is known; he is a former jailbird.”
Her remarks called for greater personal accountability and community discipline in the face of rising insecurity challenges.
