Tahidi High Actor Bilal Wanjau
Renowned actor Bilal Wanjau has passed away. A close friend confirmed that he died on Thursday after battling an illness linked to diabetes complications.
Bilal was loved across the country for his humor and unforgettable performances. He became a household name through his role on the popular Tahidi High show on Citizen TV, where he entertained and inspired many young viewers. For many Kenyans, he was a special part of their childhood.
After Tahidi High introduced new talent, Bilal continued to shine in other productions, taking on major roles in Lies That Bind, Pepeta, and the comedy series Jela 5 Star.
He was an award-winning actor and director, known for his work in films, TV series and stage plays. His talent also opened international doors, including a role in a Bollywood film and a part in the drama 4Play.
According to close friends, Bilal Wanjau will be laid to rest on Friday, December 5, at his rural home in Machakos.
