Ferdinand Waititu sentenced to 12 years in prison or a fine of Ksh53.5 million
Former Kiambu governor Ferdinand Waititu was sentenced on Thursday, February 13.
The Milimani Law court handed him the option of 12 years in jail or a KSh 53 million fine; his wife Susan was also imprisoned for one year with a KSh 500,000 fine option.
The couple, alongside other accused persons, were convicted of fraud that fleeced the county hundreds of millions.
