Kenyans flocked Uhuru Garden yesterday for the 61st Jamhuri celebrations
The gates opened at 6 a.m., and attendees began to arrive. All guests were expected to be seated by 8 a.m. when the festivities officially started. President William Ruto was leading the nation in marking this year’s jamhuri Day commemorating 61 years since Kenya became a republic on December 12, 1964.
Gambia President Adama Barrow was the Chief Guest at this year’s celebrations. He arrived in the county on Wednesday evening and was received by Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi. The Jamhuri Day theme focused on jobs,labour, migration, and Entertainment.
