Nyandarua University College
Nyandarua University College has officially opened and admitted its first group of 320 students.
The students reported to the Ol Joro Orok Agriculture Training Centre, which will serve as the approved satellite campus for the new institution.
They were warmly welcomed by local leaders, including Nyandarua Governor Kiare Badilisha, who praised the milestone as a big step for education in the county.
County officials explained that the college was established through a partnership with the University of Nairobi, which will guide and mentor the new institution as it grows.
The opening of the university college is expected to create more opportunities for young people in Nyandarua to access higher education closer to home.
