Rigathi Gachagua
Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has launched a new political outfit, the Democracy for the Citizens Party (DCP), at a ceremony held in Lavington, Nairobi, on Thursday, as he gears up for the 2027 presidential race.
The party features neon green, brown, and white colours, carries the slogan “Skiza Wakenya,” and bears a logo depicting an ear with fingers cupped around it to represent attentiveness to citizen voices.
Gachagua will serve as the party leader, with key interim officials.

(2) Mithika Linturi – National Organising Secretary (former Meru Senator and Agriculture CS)
(3) Cate Waruguru – National Women Leader (former Laikipia Woman Representative)
At the same time, he has named the following as party officials.
(4) Hezron Obatha – Interim Secretary General
(5) Martil Ole Kamwaro – Deputy Secretary General
(6) Hannah Mutua – National Treasurer
(7) Wanjra Njoka – Deputy National Treasurer
