Where are Kiambu MPs during the public participation?
Thousands of Kiambu residents gathered in Kiambu town social hall for the public participation exercise geared towards the removal from office of Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, however, there was no show from any of the Members of Parliament by the time of going to press 11.15 am.
The residents were concerned that their MPs who supported the impeachment motion of the Deputy President were now absconding their responsibility as leaders and representatives of the people by refusing to come face-to-face with those who elected them into office.
However, the public participation exercise is set to go on until 5.00 pm and maybe the leaders will attend the highly charged exercise. A majority of the residents of Kiambu are against the impeachment of DP Rigathi, calling for the impeachment of both the President and Deputy President if need be. (Kufa makanga, kufa dereva).
