Gilbert Thuo
A man by the name of Gilbert was killed after being thrown out of a moving Matatu by a Super Metro conductor for failing to pay the demanded fare. Gilbert had 50 shillings but the conductor demanded 80 shillings leading to his being thrown out. Super Metro Tout Kills Passenger over Ksh 30.
This was the unfortunate turn of events Yesterday, on a Super Metro Bus with the plate number KDL 125N:
• Tout: “Nimesema gari ni 80/=”
• Gilbert: “Niko tu na 50/=”
• Tout: “Nimesema gari ni 80/=. Tusisumbuane. Mbona uliingia kama huna 80/? Unanibeba ujinga wewe.”
• Gilbert: “Mimi sikusikia…na huwa hata nalipa hivo.”
• Tout: Aggrrrhhh…
The bus was speeding towards Kahawa Wendani when the enraged tout allegedly opened the door and threw Gilbert Thuo Kimani— a middle-aged man from Kandara Sub-county in Murang’a County— out of the moving vehicle. Tragically, the man died on the spot. Postmortem results confirmed that Gilbert succumbed to multiple injuries, including broken ribs, arms, and legs.
