Githunguri MP Gathoni Wamuchomba
Githunguri MP Gathoni Wamuchomba has been steadily recognised for her leadership and dedication, collecting a total of nine major awards over the past two years.
In 2023, she was named the Second-Best MP in Kenya during the Kenya Parliamentary Performance Awards, a recognition of her hard work and impact in Parliament.
Earlier this year, she received the Starleaders Award, ranking as the 7th Best MP in Kenya, adding to her growing list of achievements
Most recently, at a glamorous event in Nairobi, Wamuchomba won the GALA East Africa Superwoman Award, which honours exceptional women leaders across the region.
In total, she has now received nine achievement awards in just two years of serving as Githunguri’s MP — a record that reflects her consistency and dedication to public service.
Speaking after the latest award, Wamuchomba thanked her supporters:
“These awards show that honesty and truth in leadership still matter. I dedicate every award to the people of Githunguri who have believed in me and supported my work. Thank you Kenya for believing in me.”
She also congratulated other women who were honoured at the East Africa Superwoman Awards for their outstanding work.
Wamuchomba promised to continue working for her constituents, saying she is proud to be “the woman for the job” and will “never let Githunguri and Kenya down.”
