A private audio recording of gospel singer Karangu Muraya and his first wife Triza Njeri has leaked online, causing a big stir among fans.
In the recording, Triza is heard crying and confronting Karangu about his affair with Carol Kim. She sounds very hurt and even says she would rather die than continue living with the pain. Her words worried many people who felt she was going through deep stress.
Karangu, on the other hand, is heard telling her that she was only making threats. His response has been seen by some as cold and dismissive.
After the clip went viral, Karangu explained why the recording existed. He said it was made when their last-born child was just two months old. At that time, he was advised by a neighbor to record their arguments for his own safety.
“I was afraid something bad could happen to me. I thought it was wise to keep proof of what was happening,” he said.
Karangu also added that both he and Triza had copies of the audio and that he was shocked it got leaked.
Triza has claimed that Karangu’s second wife, Carol Kim, might have been the one who released the audio. Carol has not confirmed or denied these claims.
The leaked clip has left fans divided. Many people feel sorry for Triza and believe she was going through a very painful time. Others think it was wrong for such private issues to be recorded and shared.
