Education CS Julius Ogamba
The 2025 KCSE examination results were officially released on Friday, January 9, at AIC Chebisaas High School in Eldoret. The event was led by Education Cabinet Secretary Julius Ogamba and attended by senior education officials.

According to the Ministry of Education, 993,226 candidates sat for the 2025 KCSE exams. Out of these, about 270,000 students scored C+ and above, qualifying for direct entry to university.
After the release, candidates can now check their results through the official KNEC website or via SMS.
How to Check KCSE Results Online
- Visit the KNEC results portal: results.knec.ac.ke
- Click on the KCSE Results section.
- Enter your 11-digit index number exactly as it appears on your exam registration form.
- Type your registered name as used during registration.
- Click Submit to view your results.
- You can also download a copy of your results.
How to Check KCSE Results via SMS
- Send your index number to 20076
- Each SMS costs Ksh 25
KCSE Grading System
KCSE results are graded from A (highest) to E (lowest). Special grades include:
- Grade X – Candidate was absent
- Grade Y – Examination irregularity
- Grade W – Results withheld
Candidates are advised to ensure their details are entered correctly when checking results.
